How Do I Stop Condensation on a Metal Roof?

Metal roofs are one of the most common condensation surfaces in industrial and agricultural buildings. Single-skin metal roofing cools rapidly overnight, often falling below the dew point of the warm, moist air inside the building. Moisture then condenses on the underside of the roof and drips onto the floor, stock and equipment below.

To stop condensation on a metal roof you need to raise the internal surface temperature of the roof above the dew point. A spray-applied natural cork thermal coating applied directly to the underside (or, where appropriate, the exterior) of the metal roof adds a thin thermal layer that improves the surface temperature of the steel.
