Breweries and distilleries are high-humidity environments. Boiling, mashing, fermentation, washing and CIP processes all release moisture into the air. When that warm, moist air meets cold roof structures, tank room walls and steelwork, it condenses if the surface temperature has fallen below the dew point.
Condensation in production areas and tank rooms creates slip hazards, promotes mould and bacterial growth, corrodes steelwork and can compromise product quality. Brewery roof condensation dripping onto vessels and production floors is a persistent problem.
